together at
Margaret Ave
church on Sunday
afternoon of
Feb. 4, 2018 to
celebrate the
Chinese New Year
of Dog. The
celebration
started at 2PM
first with a
Divine Service
held by Ev. Zhu
in Chinese with
Bible text from
Romans 13:7
“Render
therefore to all
their due: taxes
to whom taxes
are due, customs
to whom customs,
fear to whom
fear, honor to
whom honor.”
Obedience to the
Lord and the
government was
the main theme
with emphasis of
New Apostolic
Church’s tenth
Article of
Faith. The
Service was
assisted by Ev.
Truong in
English, who
briefly
summarized Ev.
Zhu’s Service
potion. Deacon
Yang and two
Deacon Wang were
called to assist
in Chinese.
Finally, Pr.
Connor prepared
for the Holy
Communion.
The Service was
followed by the
Chinese New Year
celebration
organized and
conducted by
Deacon Yang and
sister Xu. The
celebration
lasted over one
and half hours
with 16
performances
from various
different
families and
individuals.
Finally, total
of 74 brothers,
sisters, and
friends
participated and
enjoyed the
traditional
Chinese Dumping
potluck
fellowship
together,
including 7
ministers and 18
guests. Everyone
was very joyful
and felt richly
blessed by
receiving both
spiritual and
natural foods
from our
Heavenly Father
in His house!
